Community
and Membership Outreach |
 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
Through
a wide variety of activities and
projects, LWA works to promote
conservation and environmental
protection throughout the entire
Loyalhanna Creek Watershed. In
addition, LWA constantly looks
to engage community members in
all of these projects. Roadside
and trail cleanups, nature trail
revitalization, and recycling
are just a few projects
coordinated by LWA.

Citizen's
Guide to the Loyalhanna Creek
Watershed
With funding from the League of
Women Voters WREN program, the LWA
created a user-friendly guide to
caring for our watershed. Watershed
restoration and improvement starts
in the backyard of each and every
community member within the entire
watershed. Stop in the office, or

Roadside
& Dumpsite Cleanups
|
|
| |
Each
year, LWA coordinates the clean-up
efforts of roadsides and dumpsites
throughout local communities. So far
in 2007, over 70 miles of roadways were
cleared of debris by volunteers from
local businesses, clubs,
organizations, and individual
community members interested in
preserving the beauty of the area.
