Celebrate Earth Day 2026 by volunteering for our annual roadside cleanup! Individuals and groups of all ages are able to participate in this springtime Ligonier community event. This year, in celebration of America's 250th Anniversary, our goal is to collectively pick up 250 bags of litter! All supplies, including bags, safety vests and gloves will be provided. The Annual Loyalhanna Sojourn is a great day on the water! As in past events, the event will begin at the Cardinal Park launch in Latrobe and continue 9 miles downstream to the take out launch at Gray Wing Park in New Alexandria. Paddlers of all ages and levels of experience are welcome to attend this one-day float!

We are excited to host our first ever Loyalhanna TimberFest, celebrating the vast history and mystery of our local timber and forestry industry, featuring the one and only Pennsylvania WoodMobile! The 34-foot WoodMobile is a great way for people to learn about the state's forest industry. You can learn about the history of forests, threats like bugs and diseases, and even touch different types of wood. It also shows how forest products are made. In addition, we are pleased to host partners from DCNR-Forbes State Forest, the Westmoreland Woodlands Improvement Association, PA Master Naturalists and others.

This outdoor festival at the Watershed Farm will feature local and regional reggae and roots bands, live art demos, food trucks and libations! This event is not only a fundraiser for LWA's free programs and events, but also supports musicians and artists, celebrates live music and brings attention to the beauty and vibrancy of the Ligonier Valley. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy a relaxing late summer evening, all in good vibes!
