Winter Seed Sowing Workshop

2:00 pm

Just because winter is on it's way doesn't mean you can't start planting a garden! In this workshop led by Penn State Master Gardener, Patti Schildkamp, participants will be able to make their own "miniature greenhouses" using recycled milk jugs to start growing seedlings for spring planting. Seeds from native plants found on the Watershed Farm and Ligonier Community Garden will be distributed to participants and children will be able to make their own angel ornaments from milkweed seed pods, just in time for the holiday season. This is a FREE education program, but pre-registration is required by contacting Susan at (724) 238-7560, ext. 1# or susan@loyalwater.com.
